WILMINGTON — James R. Stanley, 67, affectionately known as “Jimmy” passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Stanley was born Nov. 25, 1949, in Goldsboro, N.C., to the late James P. Stanley and Mary Dozier.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Janette Stanley; two stepchildren, Jayson Lambeth, and his wife, Tammie, of Kenansville, Kelly Thomas, and her husband, Josh, of Wilson; three granddaughters, Mackenzie, Georgianna and Alexis; brother, Tom Stanley; sister, Donna Godwin; along with one niece and four nephews.
Visitation will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 24, at Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel, 4108 S. College Road, Wilmington. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. in the Valley Chapel.
