SUPPLY — Lou Ellen Burns, 80, passed away Friday, March 17, 2017, at her residence.

She was born in Brunswick County on Sept. 6, 1936, the daughter of the late Olen H. Clemmons and Martha Cheers Clemmons and was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Dayton Rhodes; special friend, Herman Spencer; and sister, Eva Ward.

Lou Ellen was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Surviving are her son, Jesse Dean Rhodes, and his wife, Norma Lee, of Supply; one sister, Wanda Beam, of Supply; three grandchildren, Samantha Reichle, Jessica Rhodes and Jason Rhodes; and three great-grandchildren, Hailey Garrison, Dayton Reichle and Dana Reichle.

A family gathering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 20, at White Funeral and Cremation Service, Shallotte Chapel, 3660 Express Drive, and other times at their residence. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Kenny Locklear and the Rev. Landis Lancaster officiating.
