SHALLOTTE — Danny Allen Holden, 64, of Shallotte died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at his residence. Born in Brunswick County on Feb. 10, 1952, he was the only child of Hyet Holden and Louise Russ Holden. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-father Eldridge Ludlum who loved and cared for him as his son.
Survivors are Judy T. Russ, caregiver and cousin who has selflessly cared for Danny since the death of his parents, and many cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Feb. 6, 2017, in Old Shallotte Baptist Church, where he was a devoted member, by The Rev. Landis Lancaster, The Rev Llena Holden and The Rev. Rory Thigpen. Burial will be in Mintz Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
