WILMINGTON — James Robert “Bob” Reese Jr., 88, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, at Autumn Care of Myrtle Grove.
He was born in Kannapolis, N.C., on Aug. 30, 1928, the son of the late James Robert Reese Sr. and Alice Thelma Todd Reese. Also remembered is his son, Dennis Edward Reese; and daughter, Jamie Renee Reese, who both preceded him in death.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 68 years, Lillian Bernice Reese; sister-in-law, Colleen, and her husband, Fred Rogers; and cousins, Steve and Linda Reese, JoAnn Jones and Carol Ballard.
Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the owner and operator of Reese Burglar and Fire Alarm Company for over 35 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Baptist Church, of which he was a member.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, at Andrews Valley Chapel, with visitation starting one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
