CAROLINA BEACH — On Oct. 27, 2016, Dudley Allen “DA” Lewis passed away at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Life Center after an extended illness.
He was born in Burlington, N.C., on March 30, 1940, but lived in Carolina Beach for his entire life. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Dudley C. and Amelia Brown Lewis, as well as his brother, Jerry R. Lewis, and sister-in-law Sarah Ranier Lewis.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years and 11 months, Carrie C. Lewis; daughter, Sandra C. Niec; granddaughters, Tabitha Capps and Felisha Cummings (Josh); and siblings, Linda Patch (Ron), Ronnie B. Lewis, and Michael Lewis (Loretta).
A graveside service will be held Monday, Oct. 31, 2016, at 2 p.m. Wayne Cameron and Brenda O’Dell will officiate the service.
