SHALLOTTE – Bobbie Hewett Dillard, 78, of Shallotte, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at her home, with her family by her side.
Born on Dec. 11, 1937 in Brunswick County, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Madie Hewett.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Roger Hewett (Naomi), Ernest Hewett (Betty), Eloise H. Hastings, and Dewey Lanier Hewett.
She retired from BEMC after 35 years of service and was a devoted member of the Long Bay Garden Club.
Surviving are her son, Randy Parker and his wife, Sandy, and her daughter, Sarah Burrows and her husband, Chris, all of Shallotte; two grandchildren, Allie Gunter and Lindy Clark; and a great grandson, Parker Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, in the Camp United Methodist Church by the Rev. Richard Vaughn. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will follow in the Chapel Hill Cemetery.
