WILMINGTON – Grace H. Marion, 91, of Wilmington, N.C., died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
Born Aug. 22, 1924, in Berlin, N.J., she was the daughter of Samuel and Edna Hampton.
Mrs. Marion was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church. She was married to Sam Marion for 74 years and was a proud Marine’s wife. She lived in North Carolina for more than 70 years.
She loved her family and working in her yard was her happy place.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Rogers (Keith) and Ginger Sewell (Rodney); her grandchildren, Todd Daughtry, Bryan Daughtry (Maria), Lydia Moore (Andy), Kate Filmer-Wilson (Robin) and Hank Whitley (Laura); and her 11 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at noon Monday, Aug. 8, 2016, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery Chapel.
Memorial donations may be made in Grace’s name to Lower Cape Fear Hospice or to a local animal shelter.
