
Bobby William Flowers, 71, of Castle Hayne, died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016, at Brunswick Cove Living Center.
Bobby was born March 17, 1944 in Lumberton, son of the late Earl Harold Flowers and Atlanta Caulk Flowers.
Mr. Flowers was a member of Olivet Baptist Church. He was retired on disability for many years. Bobby was a very friendly man who loved his children dearly.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Brennan (Tim) of Damascus, Maryland; two sons, John Flowers and Bobby Flowers, Jr. (Nora), both of Fairbanks, Arkansas; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister, Mary Evelyn Cottle (Paul) of Wilmington; two brothers, Norris Flowers (Carolyn) of Wilmington and Wayne Flowers of Castle Hayne; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 21 at Wrightsboro Baptist Church, with the Rev. Mike Lewis officiating. Prior to the service at the church, the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bobby’s memory may be made to Wrightsboro Baptist Church Building Fund, 2736 Castle Hayne Road, Wilmington, NC 28401.
