Ivy Devon Cutrell Sr., 83, retired Air Force technician

Ivy Devon Cutrell Sr., 83, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, peacefully with his wife Patricia and his children by his side.

Ivy was born in Englehard, the son of the late William Benjamin and Annie Alatha (Blake) Cutrell.

For over 20 years he served in the United States Air Force as an aero-med service technician. After his retirement with the military, he worked for over 22 years at Cardinal Lanes Bowling Alley in Wilmington as a chief mechanic and pin setter.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia (Hucks) Cutrell and three sons; Timmy Cutrell, William Cutrell and Ivy Cutrell Jr. all of Wilmington and Noal and Sandy Johnson, of Escondido, California; one sister, Thelma Fowler of Roanoke Rapids; three grandchildren Stefanie, Summer and McKenzie; and one great-grandchild, Rylan. He enjoyed his two dogs, Lilly and Koko.

A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at Wilmington Funeral and Cremation, 1535 S. 41st St., Wilmington. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m.
