Milton Leo Ivon Case Jr., of Calabash and formerly of Titusville and Cocoa, Florida, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2015, at Lower Cape Fear Hospice’s Brunswick House following a brief illness.
Born in Central Falls, Rhode Island, on May 7, 1944, he was a son of the late Irvan Milton and Mary Loretta Donahue Case.
He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and was a finish carpenter with the Sea Ray Boat Company before moving to North Carolina. Mr. Case was a member of the Wounded Warriors Project and enjoyed contributing to the community by fixing and rebuilding bicycles and giving them to the Titusville Police Department to distribute to needy children in the area.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberley Case and sisters, Joyce Loretta Desjardians and Loretta Joyce Wagner.
Survivors include his sons, Christopher Case, of Rhode Island, Theodore Case, of Winston-Salem, Timothy Case, of California and Richard Calhoun, of Rhode Island; daughter, Tracey McCloud, of Rhode Island; sister, Pamela “Pamilla” Prophet and husband William, of Ocean Isle Beach; grandchildren, Carrie Jean Letourneau and Kayla Honey McCloud; and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Todd Ferguson, of Beaufort, South Carolina and special nieces, Lorrie Billington, of Rhode Island and Shelley Thomson, of Wilmington.
Memorial services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, at the Chapel of Brunswick Funeral Service, Shallotte.
