Betty Midgett Boggs died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at the age of 83.
Betty was born in Hampstead on April 27, 1932, daughter of the late Roland and Rachel Midgett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter (Pat) Boggs; sons, Samuel and Kenneth Boggs; and grandson, Neal Ashcraft Jr.
Betty was the first of seven children. She was the best wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was loyal friend and church member when she was able to attend.
Betty is survived by her sister, Sylvia Smith, who visited her while she was sick for years; daughter, Susan (Jerry) Reynolds; grandchildren, Paul (Kay) and Scott (Rhonda); great-grandchildren, Brittanie, Zach, Dylan, Darren and Cooper; and great-great grandson, Collin.
Graveside services were held Tuesday morning, Oct. 20, 2015, at Greenlawn Memorial Park with Pastor Jonathan Watson of Cape Fear Presbyterian Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dementia Foundation or Lower Cape Fear Hospice.
