Lynn Thomas Garner died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at the Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center. He was 88 years old.
He was born on March 17, 1925, in Greensboro, and was preceded in death by his parents, Felton and Myrtle McGee Garner; his wife, Rusty Garner; and a brother, Jack Garner.
Surviving are two daughters, Sandra G. May and husband, Thomas, of Wrightsville Beach and Laura G. Gentry and husband, Jack, of Lexington, Va.; son, L. Thomas Garner, Jr. and wife, Catherine, of Wilmington; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A private family service will be held for Mr. and Mrs. Garner at Oakdale Cemetery.
