WILMINGTON — ACCESS of Wilmington will host its second annual Sounds of Freedom Benefit Gala Concert on Sept. 25.
The event will be from 7 to 11 p.m. and will take place at the Brooklyn Arts Center, featuring Nashville recording artist BELLES, with special guest opener Folkstone String Band. BELLES will be performing “Son of Jolene,” her duet with the late country music icon Dolly Parton. Taking place after BELLES’ Grand Ole Opry debut, the song was Parton’s final recording.
There will also be a silent auction, food and drinks in support of Project SOAR, ACCESS of Wilmington’s sports and recreation program, now in its 10th year. Proceeds from the gala will directly benefit Project SOAR, veterans with disabilities and first responders.
“Project SOAR was built on the belief that all veterans and first responders deserve the chance to heal, connect, and thrive through sport and recreation,” ACCESS of Wilmington Executive Director Paula Crozier said. “As we celebrate ten years of this program, we’re honored to bring Belles to Wilmington for an evening that celebrates music, community, and the memory of Dolly Parton, whose generosity inspired so many.”
General admission and VIP meet and greet tickets (which include meet and greet with BELLES, a “swag bag,” drink tickets, and designated seating) are available here.
