WILMINGTON — Just after 7:20 a.m. this morning, Wilmington Police Departmnt officers responded to the 3500 block of Metting Road following a ShotSpotter alert for possible gunfire in the area.
Officers arrived shortly after and reportedly located evidence consistent with a shooting. No injuries have been reported.
The investigation remains ongoing, and detectives are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact the Wilmington Police Department.
