
WILMINGTON — Daquan Brunson, 32, has been charged assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, discharge firearm in a reckless manner, and discharge firearm occupied dwelling/moving vehicle.
Around 1:40 a.m. on Wednesday morning, Wilmington Police Department officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert in the 900 block of Chestnut Street. Following an investigation, Brunson was determined to have previously fired several shots at an occupied vehicle. No one was injured during the incident.
Brunson is currently being held at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center without bond.
