WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred Monday evening.
WPD units responded to a ShotSpotter notification just before 9 p.m. in the 800 block of Elance Moore Lane. According to the WPD, officers located evidence indicating a shooting had occurred. WPD also located one individual who sustained non-life-threatening injuries; they were transported to Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center for treatment.
The investigation is ongoing. The WPD is encouraging anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to contact the Wilmington Police Department at 910-343-3600 or submit anonymous tips through Tip411.
