After running in front of an EMS vehicle, an unidentified male had to receive “life-saving measures” and was later brought to the hospital by the paramedics driving Tuesday night around 10:40 p.m. The vehicle was en route to another emergency call, according to the Wilmington Police Department news release, and had both its lights and sirens on. The paramedics tried to dodge the pedestrian, but he ran directly into its path, the news release said.
The WPD could bring up charges against the pedestrian. WPD spokesperson Brandon Shope said they cannot comment further as it is an active investigation.
