LELAND — The most populated town in Brunswick County will have multiple events planned to usher in the holiday spirit this year.
Below are events hosted in Leland this year, starting Dec. 6.
Pack the Patrol Car
Dec. 6, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. • Walmart, 1112 New Pointe Boulevard
The Leland Police Department and Leland Fire/Rescue will collect non-perishable food items and new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages to donate to Brunswick Family Assistance.
Annual Holiday Art Market
Dec. 7, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. • Leland Cultural Arts Center, 1212 Magnolia Village Way
Shop for a variety of gifts from 35 different vendors, including jewelry, paintings, pottery, and more.
Tree Lighting
Dec. 7, 6 to 8 p.m. • Town Hall, 102 Town Hall Drive
Santa and Mayor Brenda Bozeman will illuminate the Leland tree at 6 p.m., plus there will be photos with Santa, letter-writing opportunities to Santa, and treats for sael from Dixieland Kettle Corn food truck across the street at Leland Brewing Company.
Parking will be available at Port City Community Church, 187 Old Fayetteville Road, and First Baptist Church of Leland, 517 Village Road NE. A shuttle service will be offered to Town Hall starting at 5:30 p.m.
LCAC for Cookies with Santa
Dec. 10, 6:30 to 8 p.m. • Leland Cultural Arts Center, 1212 Magnolia Village Way
Enjoy holiday crafts, story time, and festive treats. Tickets are $5 and registration is required.
Wilmington Big Band
Dec. 13, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. • Leland Cultural Arts Center, 1212 Magnolia Village Way
The band plays holiday classics and big band favorites. Tickets are $15 and are available online or at the LCAC.
Sensory-Friendly Visits with Santa
Dec. 14, noon to 3 p.m. • Leland Cultural Arts Center, 1212 Magnolia Village Way
Kids with specific needs will be able to enjoy Santa visits in a calm and subdued environment. Registration is required for this free event and available online or at the LCAC.
Visits with Santa
Dec. 17, 5:30-8:15 p.m. • Leland Cultural Arts Center, 1212 Magnolia Village Way
Bring the family to meet Santa, take festive photos, and drop off letters for the North Pole. Registration is required for this free event and available online or at the LCAC.
