WILMINGTON — A new course is being offered for experienced barbers looking to become educators.

Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is now offering a barber instruction prep course to begin Feb. 1. The course, costing $468, will last four months, but students work at their own pace.

Participants will learn a basic understanding of educational instruction and how to apply it to barbering. Topics of proficiency, teaching methods, and effective communication will be covered during the course. Detailed curriculum on lesson planning and classroom management will also be discussed.

Registration can be completed here
