The flagship location is the first for of 20 planned sites around the coastal Carolinas for pull-through parking. Charging starts at 22 cents per kilowatt hour.

Each station will contain Level II ports and direct current fast-charging abilities — eight to 10 times faster than standard home charging. They will also have CCS1, CHAdeMO and NACS adapters, which allows them to charge all current production EVs.

A ribbon cutting was held Friday morning with U.S. Rep. Charlie Miller, Carolina Beach town officials and the Carolina Beach Chamber of Commerce.
