CAROLINA BEACH — The GoGO, Tornado, Music Express, Giant Gondola Wheel and new this year … the Skydiver.
Carolina Beach Boardwalk Amusement Rides are opening April 1, 5 p.m. Located at Carolina Beach Avenue South, the park is open until 10 p.m.

Similar in structure to the classic Ferris wheel, the Skydiver turns faster, with enclosed pods that do barrel rolls. It will be installed later in the season.
Last year, the park was upgraded with new attractions, including the addition of a 100-plus-foot-tall Ferris wheel with views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
The park’s multiple rides operate Thursday through Sunday, with $20 unlimited rides on Thursday. Beginning Memorial Day, Thursdays on Carolina Beach also feature free fireworks and live music on the boardwalk.
In addition to rides, concessions are sold, including funnel cakes, cotton candy, caramel apples, corn dogs, and more.
