WILMINGTON — A multi-purpose, 13,000-square-foot health club will open in Mayfaire Tuesday.
Fuel Fitness will be located at 980 Town Center Drive, one of a handful that CEO Shawn Stewart owns across the state. A former 02 Fitness — Stewart also was COO for 02 for four years until 2019 — the health club will offer multiple group fitness classes, cardio strength equipment, large turf areas for training, cycle studios and kids’ clubs.
It also will offer a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) studio.
“A recovery lounge called the Refuel Lounge will offer hydro massage, a cryotherapy lounge chair, compression technology, theragun stations and more features for pre-and post-exercise recovery,” Stewart said in a press release.
Memberships start at $29 a month and go up to $79 for VIP, without a long-term commitment.
Fuel will operate Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
