Mountain View Packaging company announced the recall of 6,013 pounds of a frozen chicken entree, sold at retail locations nationwide.
It affects 18.5-ounce packages of ready-to-eat InnovAsian Crispy Chicken with Almonds. The product has the lot code 22321-1 and UPC code 695119120499. It was produced on Nov. 17, 2022 and has a use-by date of May 24, 2023.
The recall is due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen the company reported to the USDA. A consumer discovered shrimp was in one of the packages and reported the issue. No adverse reactions have been recorded due to consumption.
Mountain View encourages consumers that have the product in their freezers to return the to the place of purchase for a refund or thrown them away. Retailers are also urged not to sell the products.
