WILMINGTON — An 18-year-old victim was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries Friday afternoon.
The Wilmington Police Department responded to the second shooting of the day Friday around 3 p.m.

When officers arrived in the 1200 block of Buckingham Avenue, a male was found suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers provided emergency life-saving measures until EMS arrived and transported the patient to Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call WPD at 910-343-3609. The public can also use the anonymous Tip 411 app.
