CAROLINA BEACH — Officers arrested a man in Carolina Beach Wednesday after he was reported sexually harrassing and assaulting multiple women.
Brian Stewart, who is from Ohio, is charged with two counts of sexual battery and has been issued a $5,000 bond. The Class A1 misdemeanor carries a potential punishment of 60 days active, intermediate or community punishment.
The Carolina Beach Police Department was dispatched to a series of calls within an hour regarding harassment from Stewart. Officers obtained a photograph of the suspect from a witness of one of the incidents. The photograph showed the suspect wearing a gray sleeveless shirt, black shorts, flip flops and riding a white bicycle.
After a search in the area, officers stopped a man who matched the description and a witness verified him as Stewart.
