Brunswick County Master Ext. hosts pollinator plant sale

BRUNSWICK COUNTY — In honor of National Pollinator Week through June 25, the Brunswick County Master Extension will host a plant sale to promote the importance of pollinators in the food chain.

The volunteers association is selling Native Milkweeds, Coneflowers and other critical pollinator-beneficial plants online through June 25 at midnight.

“These plants are endorsed by Monarch Watch, the North Carolina Butterfly Highway, and the North Carolina Native Plant Society as critical to sustaining local butterfly and pollinator habitat,” a press release noted.

There are quantity limits due to propagation and plant nursery availability. To order the plants, click here. Pick up is Wednesday, June, 9 a.m. to noon, at the Brunswick County Extension Office, 25 Referendum Dr., in Bolivia. Visitors will go to the greenhouse behind Building N, Government Complex.
