NEW HANOVER COUNTY — After confiscating 5.5 pounds of mushrooms, 55 pounds of marijuana, THC edibles/vape cartridges, 10.5 grams of MDMA (ecstasy), three firearms, and approximately $51,000 in U.S. currency, the sheriff’s office made an arrest June 9 in Wilmington.
NHCSO vice and narcotic unit received information regarding drug activity at 202B Jordan Lane. Upon executing a search warrant, they arrested two people, Ahmad Amgad Ali and Bristol Marie Collier, at the residence.
Ali was given a $100,000 secured bond and charged with:
- Trafficking marijuana (2 counts)
- Conspire to traffic in marijuana
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute psilocybin
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute MDMA (ecstasy)
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute marijuana
- Felony possession of marijuana
- Maintain a vehicle/dwelling for use, storage and sale of controlled substance
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Possession of a firearm by a felon
Collier was held on a $75,000 secured bond and charged with:
- Trafficking marijuana (2 counts)
- Conspire to traffic in marijuana
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute psilocybin
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute MDMA (ecstasy)
- Possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute marijuana
- Felony possession of marijuana
- Maintain a vehicle/dwelling for use, storage, or sale of controlled substance
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
