Controlled burn underway in Leland, to last through next week

LELAND — The Leland Fire and Rescue has advised there will be smoke visible in an area of a town likely over the next 10 days.

Crews are conducting a controlled burn daily that will be visible around Mercantile Drive NE and Industrial Blvd NE. The burn began on Wednesday and could last through Saturday, June 18.
