WILMINGTON – The Cape Fear Housing Coalition is partnering with UNCW to present a presentation on Housing Affordability in the Cape Fear.

The event will take place Friday, Feb. 18, 7:30 a.m., with breakfast and networking. Executive Director of the North Carolina Housing Coalition Samuel Gunter and Dr. Chris Prentice, director of the UNCW Center for Social Impact, will talk about housing affordability.

Mr. Gunter will update the public on the statewide housing crisis, and Dr. Prentice will inform audiences on data from the Bowen Housing Needs Assessment, as well as a UNCG Housing Needs Survey.

Afterward, a panel of New Hanover County business leaders will discuss the housing crisis locally and its impacts on the economy, workforce, and shared quality of life. Panelists will include Rhonda Bellamy, CEO of the Arts Council of Wilmington/New Hanover County, Dr. Philip Brown, executive vice president of Novant Health, and Huntley Garriott, president of Live Oak Bank. A Q&A will be held following this discussion.

The event is free to the public; however, space is limited. RSVP: info@capefearhousingcoalition.org
