CFCC to host basketball game during Military Appreciation Day

WILMINGTON – Cape Fear Community College men’s basketball program, CFCC Veterans Service and the Salty Turtle Beer Company is partnering with active-duty military to host a Military Appreciation Day.

Cape Fear’s Sea Devils will take on the Spartanburg Methodist at CFCC’s Schwartz Center on Saturday, Feb. 12, 3 p.m. All local active-duty military and veterans, as well as their families are welcome to join the Sea Devils for the celebration of their service. Tickets are $5, and free to those 12 and under. CFCC students and faculty have free entry with CFCC ID.

The 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing Band will perform and crew members from the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune Color Guard and Marine Corps Installations East. 

Military personnel will have the chance to win prizes during head-to-head court competitions. POW/MIA soldiers and veterans will be recognized, as will employees/employers who work and have assisted local military personnel.
