BRUNSWICK COUNTY — A winter storm watch will go into effect at midnight on Friday with ice and possibly snow covering the area. Brunswick County will close its Covid-19 vaccination clinics on both Friday and Saturday this weekend due to inclement weather.
Though the drive-thru clinic located in the Coastal Cinemas 10 parking lot in Shallotte will be closed Jan. 21-22, all pediatric vaccination appointments Friday will continue at Bolivia’s main clinic in the Brunswick County Health Services building.
The health department is trying to find another Saturday to host a weekend clinic. More information about its rescheduling will be posted on the website.
The drive-thru clinic will be remain open Thursday, Jan. 20, for ages 12 and up. The clinic is located at 5200 Bridgers Rd. in Shallotte, 9:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.; no appointments are required.
