Early evening fire contained at Moe’s BBQ

WILMINGTON — Smoke billowed from Moe’s BBQ on Oleander Drive early Saturday evening, as seven or so firetrucks surrounded the restaurant.

Firefighters contained an apparent fire in the restaurant. No details have been revealed from officials about what caused the fire or the extent of damage.

Moes BBQ is a locally owned franchise, well-known for its fire-roasted pork, brisket, chicken and turkey, plus Southern sides.
