Due to Covid, Pender High pauses football program activities

PENDER COUNTY — Pender High School football announced it will temporarily halt all activities after a positive Covid-19 test exposed others within the program.

It will lead to the Patriots canceling Friday night’s game on Sept. 10 against Wallace-Rose Hill. Pender High said in a release it will reassess the program next week before deciding if the Patriots will be able to take on Dixon on the home field Friday, Sept. 17.
