WILMINGTON –– Wilmington Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning.
A Dodge Ram truck pulling a trailer was making a bread delivery to the Walmart off Market Street. An employee was moving pallets and accidentally walked backward into the truck trailer as it was pulling in for delivery. The employee sustained multiple serious injuries, according to WPD.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the employee is in serious but stable condition. WPD has not filed any charges at this time and is investigating the incident.
