WILMINGTON –– Erieka Denise Lamberth, 36, died Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle on Market Street.
Just after 11 p.m. Lamberth was hit by a vehicle near the New Centre Drive intersection. Traffic investigators believe impairment on behalf of the driver was a not factor in the collision.
No charges have been filed. Lamberth was transported to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
“Wilmington Police Department extends their deepest sympathy to the friends and family of Ms. Lambreth,” WPD shared in a statement.
