Kure Beach investigates Tuesday night hit and run

KURE BEACH –– Kure Beach police believe they located a vehicle driven during a hit and run Tuesday night but have yet to make any arrests in the case as it continues to investigate.

The town’s police officers responded to Alabama Avenue and Swordfish Lane around 11:46 p.m. after a car collided with a pedestrian and fled the scene.

The victim, a male juvenile, was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center. He was released without any major injuries and described the suspect car to officers.

Kure Beach Police Department is providing no additional information at this time.
