The New Hanover County ABC Board has decided to close liquor stores at 4 p.m. Thursday, with turbulent weather approaching southeastern N.C.
The National Weather Service’s latest update projects the storm moving in to the Cape Fear region today around 3 p.m. will bring its heaviest impacts between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The City of Wilmington, New Hanover and Pender counties, and UNCW have recently announced early closures on Thursday, with operations expected to resume normally Friday. Check back for more updates.
