Brunswick County Schools reopen Wednesday

BRUNSWICK COUNTY – Brunswick County Schools expects power to be restored at all its buildings and will resume classes Wednesday, Feb. 17, a district spokesperson announced.

BCS closed all its location Tuesday after severe weather caused power outages in some parts of the county. Students will not have to make up the missed day.

Students of Lincoln Elementary and North Brunswick High School will continue learning remotely while other schools resume their current learning plans.

Brunswick Electric reported around noon that it was working to restore power to 3,000 members still without electricity. More than 37,000 outages occured overnight.
