Brunswick County needs Meals on Wheels volunteers

BRUNSWICK COUNTY—More drivers are needed to deliver meals to seniors as part of Brunswick Senior Resources Inc.’s Meals on Wheels program. The program can use the help of up to four delivery drivers for Calabash and Shallotte. It also needs substitute volunteers to serve each location in Shallotte, Calabash, Southport, Leland and Supply.

Substitute volunteers will have last-minute calls to fill, but also will be able to sub days in advance from pre-determined dates off that drivers have requested. Volunteer hours take place from 10 a.m. to noon.

To get more information, contact volunteer coordinator Sarah Powell at 910-880-2777, or fill out a volunteer application at https://bsrinc.org/volunteer/.
