335 for NC grant deadline extended for families

The 335 North Carolina Extra Credit Grant launched at the end of summer and now has extended its deadline to Dec. 7, 2021. Families with children can apply for an additional $335 check to help cover additional childcare or distance-learning expenses created from the pandemic.

Eligible households include families that have lived in North Carolina through all of 2019 and have one child 16 or younger. It’s only applicable to households that didn’t file state taxes in 2019 because income was less than $20,000 per married couple, $15,000 per head of household, and $10,000 per single parent.

The application period closes at 2 p.m. on Dec. 7.
