Three arrested in connection to the murder of 27-year-old Shallotte man

BRUNSWICK COUNTY—The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people on Friday, all of whom are connected to the murder of Shallotte resident, 27-year-old Aaron Scott Hoostal.

Hoostal was reported missing on Nov. 11. His body was discovered in a wooded area off Starboard Road. The investigation is ongoing.

Arrested at a residence on Shoreline Drive were 32-year-old Michael Joseph Britton for first-degree murder, and 36-year-old Tiffany Joanne Henderson and 28-year-old Michael Urbanik, both for accessory after the fact.

All are being held in the Brunswick County Detention Facility. Britton has no bond, while Henderson and Urbanik are being held under $20,000 bonds.
