UNC-Wilmington is ringing in the new school year with a fireworks extravaganza for faculty, staff and students.
The event–set for 9 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, in the gazebo recreation area–is not open to the public, but area residents should be aware they may hear controlled fireworks and music. The display is scheduled to last no more than 45 minutes.
In the event of rain, fireworks will be cancelled and the concert will be moved to the Warwick Center Ballroom.
