NEW HANOVER COUNTY — The New Hanover County Animal Services will host a rabies clinic this October for residents looking to vaccinate their animals free of charge.
It takes place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Oct. 3 and is allowed for up to two pets per household to New Hanover residents only.
A one-year rabies shot will be given without papers and three-year for peopel who have proof of current rabies vaccines. Dogs and cats must be at least four months of age or older.
County registration of the animals will be given the same day. Please, ensure cats are in carriers or crates.
The clinic takes place at the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office at 180 Division Dr.
