WILMINGTON — Officers made an arrest early morning Thursday, Aug. 6, after receiving a report of a burglary in progress on Fordham Road.
Wilmington Police Department arrived just after 4 a.m. to the 1600 block of Fordham Road, located behind Independence Mall. Upon arrival, the officers watched the suspect exiting the home. 29-year-old Amir McKoy was taken into custody without incident and officers found the victim’s car keys in McKoy’s pocket.
McKoy is being charged with first-degree Bburglary and is at the NHSO Detention Center, held under a $100,000 secured bond.
