WILMINGTON — Due to sewer and utility line work taking place the last week of the month, traffic impacts are expected in the Myrtle Grove area.
River Road Construction, LLC is asking motorists to exercise caution, plan alternate routes and expect delays, particularly on Saturday, July 25, and Monday through Wednesday, July 27-29. With construction crews in the area, drivers should also pay attention to traffic control devices and directions from flaggers.
Below is what to anticipate:
Saturday, July 25:
A utility water line is being installed in the 6200 Myrtle Grove Road area. Myrtle Grove Road will be closed to through traffic between the intersections of Golden Road and Piner Road on July 25.
Monday, July 27 – Wednesday, July 29:
A single-lane closure with traffic control will be in effect on Myrtle Grove Road, with the work zone extending from the intersection of Lt. Congleton Road and Myrtle Grove Road to the vicinity of Tall Ships Lane and Myrtle Grove Road.
