During the most recent Board of Adjustment appointments, Sue Markuson was appointed to fill the seat, but it was determined thereafter since she also serves on the planning board, her appointment created a conflict under the town’s ordinances. While this was an inadvertent oversight, particularly given that the Board of Adjustment has not met in the past three years, the issue is being taken up to restore compliance. Commissioners will appoint a new member as soon as possible to serve Thomason’s term, expiring in December.
