CAROLINA BECAH — Cape Fear Public Utility crews have scheduled to replace a manhole in the 4800 block of Carolina Beach Road in late June. As such, lane closures can be anticipated during their work.

CFPUA has booked the closure on the righthand, northbound lane of Carolina Beach Road just south of Winding Branches Drive. It will extend to just north of Summer Woods Drive. Northbound traffic will be shifted into the inner lane and southbound traffic will not be impacted.

The work will begin at 7 p.m. and last overnight on:

  • Tuesday, June 23
  • Wednesday, June 24
  • Thursday, June 25

The roadway will reopen daily by 6 a.m. the following days.

Entrances to Winding Branches Drive, Belle Meads Woods Road, and Summer Woods Drive will remain open during construction.
