
WILMINGTON — A 36-year-old man was arrested on Monday on multiple drug charges, among other infractions.
Travis Glaspie of Wilmington faces:
- Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver schedule II controlled substance
- Possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine
- Felony possession of cocaine
- Maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances
- Alter/steal/destroy evidence
- Felony obstruction of justice
- Resist, delay, and obstruct public officers
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
The Wilmington Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 4000 block of Market Street and detected marijuana coming from the vehicle. During a conversation with occupants of the car, the passenger, Glaspie, reached toward his wristband and officers attempted to detain him, WPD reported.
Combative, Glaspie resisted officers’ instructions, according to the WPD release. After he was taken into custody, officers located narcotics, including cocaine and 30 bindles of fentanyl in the vehicle.
Glaspie is currently being held without bond at the New Hanover County Sheriffs Office Detention Center.
