Monday, March 9
The Brunswick County Planning Board will meet at 4 p.m. in Commissioners’ Chambers at the Brunswick County Government Center. The agenda includes consideration of four Planned Development projects including Cherrytree Tract, a previously denied project featuring 1,000 single-family units on about 740 acres off Cherrytree Road. New projects for review include Canopy consisting of 3,400 senior residential units on 1050 acres near Ash. The meeting will livestream here.
The Leland Town Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. at the Leland Town Hall for a question and answer session on the FY 2026-2027 budget. The meeting will livestream here.
Tuesday, March 10
The New Hanover County Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- Modification of Previously Approved Facility Capital Budget Transfer Based on County Action
- Parent organizations
The Pender County Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. in the Dr. Katherine Herring Resource Center, 798 U.S. Highway 117. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes 2026 PCS summer programming, among other items.
The Carolina Beach Town Council will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers. The agenda includes:

- Approving the Kure Beach & NC Aquarium Sewer Rates
- Setting a public hearing for April 14, 2026, to consider a text amendment to amend Article 3 of the UDO to allow retail as an accessory use for hotels and motels in the MF district. Applicant: Max Sussman

The New Hanover County Airport Authority will have joint meeting with the NHC Commissioners at 8:30 a.m. for the annual report presentation and three-year recap, as well as address forecasts, the 10-year capital plan, environmental noise study, economic impact and more. The meeting will be held in the Executive Conference Room, second floor of the Wilmington International Airport, 1740 Airport Boulevard, and is open to the public.
Burgaw Board of Commissioners will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m. at the Burgaw Town Center, 108 E Wilmington S. The agenda include departmental updates, as well as:
- Resolution 2026-05 amending rules of procedure for the Town of Burgaw board of commissioners
- Resolution 2026-07 of intent to change the governing body name from “Town of Burgaw Board of Commissioners” to “Burgaw Town Council” and update member titles

Wednesday, March 11

The Topsail Beach Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. at the Topsail Beach Town Hall. The agenda includes a presentation on the 2025 audit and an update on the public safety building project. The meeting will livestream here.
Thursday, March 12
The New Hanover County Commissioners will hold an agenda review and budget work session at 11 a.m. in the NHC Government Center, 230 Government Center Drive. Meetings are livestreamed here. No agenda was posted by press.
The Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen will host a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the Town Hall Council Chambers. The agenda includes:
- Adoption of Resolution approving the Southeastern North Carolina Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan.
- Acceptance of the annual report of the Planning Board
- Considering the extension of Solid Waste Collections Contract

New Hanover County Board of Elections will conduct the canvass of the primary election results on March 13,11 a.m. in the Multipurpose Room at the Board of Elections Office, 226 Government Center Dr., on a first-come, first-served basis. The Pender County Board of Elections will canvass primary election results at 11 a.m. at 807 S. Walker St. The public is welcome to attend.
