Monday, Jan. 5
The Wilmington City Council will hold an agenda review at 8:30 a.m. in the Skyline Center, 929 N. Front St. Meetings are livestreamed here.
The Pender County Board of Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m., 805 S. Walker Street in Burgaw. The agenda includes consideration of a purchase order for added security at Hampstead Kiwanis Park and approval of a chief range safety officer for Holly Shelter Shooting Range. Also, an update from the town manager on the ACH fraud incident. The meeting will livestream here.
Tuesday, Jan. 6
The New Hanover County Board of Education will meet at 5 p.m. in the Board of Education Center, 1805 S. 13th St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:

The Belville Planning Board will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. at Brunswick Community College Leland Center. An agenda was not posted by press. Minutes are typically uploaded here.

- Resolution in Support of the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s South 16th Street Lane Reduction from Castle Street Through Queen Street

The Brunswick County Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. in the Cape Fear Room of The Center of Applied Sciences and Technology, 1109 Old Ocean Highway. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda can be viewed here.
The Pender County Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Hampstead Annex, 15060 US 17. The agenda includes consideration of a master development plan for 355 single-family homes off of Spring Garden Road between Ravenswood Road and Olde Point Road. Also, consideration of a request to rezone 9.7 acres in Rocky Point from General Business to Residential Performance. The meeting will livestream here.
Wilmington Housing Authority’s Community Outreach and Resident Services (CORS) Committee will be held at Rankin Terrace at 3 p.m. An agenda was not published by press.
Wednesday, Jan. 7
The Wrightsville Beach Board of Aldermen will host a regular meeting at 5:30 p.m. at the Wrightsville Beach Town Hall Council Chambers. The agenda includes considerations of budget ordinance actions, the park improvement projects, increasing the hourly wage for ocean rescue, and council appointments. Meetings are uploaded here.
The Kure Beach Planning and Zoning Commission will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. An agenda was not posted by press. Meetings are uploaded here.
The Surf City Town Council will meet at 4:30 p.m. in the Surf City Municipal Complex. The agenda includes consideration of an annexation agreement with the town of Holly Ridge. The meeting will livestream here.
The North Topsail Beach Board of Aldermen will meet at 11 a.m., 2008 Loggerhead Court. The agenda includes a discussion on electric bikes on the beach and consideration of appointments of alderman liaison to various boards and committees. The meeting will be uploaded here.
Cape Fear Public Utility Authority’s Finance Committee meets at 9 a.m., with the agenda covering a $478K construction change order for Facilities Solutions Group for the LED lighting upgrade project and an ordinance appropriating funding for the 421 Fire Station water connection interlocal agreement. After, the Executive Committee meets at 10 a.m.; the agenda is here. Both meetings are held in the Jordan Room at 235 Government Center Dr.
Thursday, Jan. 8
The Carolina Beach Planning and Zoning Commission will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. An agenda was not posted by press. Meetings are uploaded here.
The Southport Board of Aldermen will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. The agenda includes a presentation of the FY 2025 audit, a Franklin Square Park update, discussion of the Southport specialty license plate and a new city website update. Meetings are uploaded here.
The Navassa Planning Board will host a regular meeting at 6 p.m. An agenda was not posted by press.
The Wilmington Historic Preservation Commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the Skyline Center, 929 N. Front St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
- 315 N. 17th St.: Building expansion
- 514 Ann St.: New house construction
The Wilmington Housing Authority Finance and Development (F&D) Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. This meeting will be held at the WHA main office, 1524 S 16th St.; an agenda was not posted by press.
The New Hanover County Planning Board will meet at 5 p.m. in the NHC Courthouse, 24 N. Third St. Meetings are livestreamed here. The agenda includes:
